Description:

The Love Your Lake program offered by the Cascade Volunteers and the Willamette National Forest Service involves people or organizations who adopt a lake in the Willamette National Forest. Volunteers remove trash from shorelines and campsites in addition to cleaning fire pits and removing any that are too close to the lake. Being a hiking club, what better way to assist in preserving the beauty of our wilderness lakes. We begin by following the PCT for 3 miles at a moderate pace to Middle Rosary Lakes with a view of Pulpit Rock where we will eat our lunch. After lunch the cleaning begins. We stop at each campsite on the return checking for trash. The pace is relaxed with stops at each campsite.
