Long and steep hike straight up. Lunch with a beautiful view at 3,636 ft vista point. Then same way down.
Moderate pace, not a slug, so you need to be in good shape.

Trip Report

Today we hiked Dead Mountain, northeast of Oakridge, originally known as Green Mountain (before the forest fires of 1883, 1898, and 1910). Our brisk 12.4-mile, 2,820-foot ascent, Flat Creek Trail #3566, was pure joy. It was 36°F at the 3,636 ft where we enjoyed windless lunch time view.
