Description:
Iron Mountain is typically a wildflower hike. But while researching great places for fall colors, it was highly rated. We should have good timing, and it’s still a beautiful and challenging hike! We'll go the entire 8 mile loop, counter-clockwise from Tombstone Pass/Cone Peak trailhead parking area. Participants should be in good shape to handle 1850' elevation gain to the summit at 5,440'.
Drivers: need a Northwest Forest Pass or America the Beautiful. Carpool donation: $18.00. Meet at the Amazon Pool parking area on Hilyard and 28th.
