Trip Report

Met at South Eugene High at 9:00 a.m. & were at the Patjens Lake trailhead by Big Lake at 11:30. About a mile on the trail took the side trail to the PCNST and then cross country in the snow to the North ridge. Found a good camping spot high on the ridge with good views North and South. Because it was only 2:30 we decided on a short rest and then an evening climb. Left camp at 3:00 and were on the summit at 6:00 p.m. Several other groups on the mountain by different routes. Left the summit about 7:00 and were back in camp at sunset. Slept late Sunday morning, and were back in town at noon. Small group included David Lewinsohn, Gene Thaxton, Wayne & leader Lee Hatch.
