Trip Report

After an overnight camp at Blue Lake, we hit the trail at 7:20 a.m. Sunday. During the five hour climb to the summit, we encountered rain, clouds, wind and a light snowfall at the 7000 ft. level. Brief interludes of clearing and sunshine afforded lovely views of the wilderness. Cold winds prevented more than a short lunch at the summit.

The weather mellowed during the afternoon, which made the descent enjoyable. The party included Alan Becker, Carol Houde, Gene Thaxton, Jeff, Tim and Bill Wood, and Tom, Ken and Mitch Daletas (leader).
