Trip Report

We all met at the Todd Lake roadhead at 9 a.m. Saturday morning. From there we drove on the old road to the Ditch Creek trailhead. From there we hiked on the Green Lakes trail for about 3½ miles, then took off of the trail and bushwhacked up the north ridge. We worked our way up the ridge and on up to the summit. The weather was beautiful, warm and breathless, with a fairly clear day. We worked our way back down the ridge and on to the scree slope where we had a grand time seeing how fast we could run down the scree. We found our way to the trail and hiked out to the cars. A wonderful late season climb. Weather warm and winds calm with only an occasional blast of a rifle shot (opening day of deer season). Those along were Nancy White, Kris Wolters, Tom Atkinson, Ken Daletas, Jan Parker, Lee Hatch, and your wonderful, modest leader Kevin McManigal.
