Trip Report

On this, our second scheduled work trip, we cut brush back along the trail, repaired a damaged switchback, and cleaned out some of the sluff along the trail. Peter, with his chain saw, cut a large log out of the trail and cut retainer logs for the switchback. The day was cool and foggy but good working conditions. Later on this year we will schedule another work trip to cut some more brush back and clean out more sluff along the trail. (I turned in forty hours of volunteer time for us to the Lowell District's trail maintenance - Helen Smith.) Volunteers were John and Peter Cecil, Emmy Dale, Betty Legris, K.C. Kraft, Lindsay Pierce, Margaret Vanderberg, Lois Schreiner, Paula Vehrs and leader Helen Smith.
