Trip Report

Left Eugene 7:30 a.m. Friday. Drove to Sisters, then South to Park Meadow Road and Trail. Hiked to Golden Lake and made camp. Climbed Broken Top, reaching the top at 7:00 p.m. Back to camp at 9:00 p.m. Saturday was the South climb on a beautiful, warm day with a nice breeze. The climb was ten hours from Golden Lake and back. Lee had part of Catherine Dunlop's ashes and these were scattered on top. Sunday we hiked back to the car, driving back to Eugene over the Old McKenzie Highway, stopping to see portions of the old road and a spring near Lost Creek Ranch. The climbers were Lee Hatch, Greg Hendrickson and leader Frank Moore.
