100 great years with Colleen Milliman

Spoke with U of 0 parking people today to get a no ticketing commitment for Thursday after 5pm in Lots by Hayward Field. I've lost my charm as I wasn't able to get them to agree.
So here is the scenario: all lots to the east of Hayward Field are B lots. A day parking permit costs $8 and can be obtained at the U of O transportation office at 1401 Walnut St. Lots are only patrolled until 6pm. If you take the chance of not getting caught, a parking ticket will cost you $45. Looking forward to celebrating with everyone!

The best entrance will be the north entrance on Agate St. No charge to enter. We will assemble in the square with the Bowerman statue just inside the gate. There will be a tent there with a table to register. Best to get there by 5:30 for the scheduled 6pm race. We will walk from this point to the 100m start line when the race is called. Lots of university parking lots on the east side of Hayward Field. Will have information in the next two days on parking fees. Many thanks for your interest and all you have done.

Please join fellow Obsidian Colleen Milliman and friends from around the town to celebrate her 100th birthday.
Event will be held at approximately 6pm. Enter Hayward Field at the Southeast corner ( across from fire station), near 17th and Agate. People should be there at least 15 to 20 minutes beforehand. 
The race distance will be 100 meters, one meter for each year!
Six years ago, world record holder Colleen was the oldest women to ever officially race a mile!
Please wear your Obsidians shirts or caps and meet July 23 at 6PM at Hayward Field.
let's make sure that minimum 100 of Obsidians and friends show up.

Trip Report

It was festive! Approximately 45 Obsidians and few of their guests accompanied Centenarian Colleen Milliman on her 100 meters walk. Hundreds of spectators on Hayward Field was cheering. Happy birthday Colleen!
