Description:

Human feet were designed and intended to function and serve us well without “support” or otherwise needing to be covered or bound up in footwear... but we "evolved" to shoe-wearing creatures. Barefoot walking is candid way to feel the earth under your feet. Join me at Florence’s North Jetty on annual barefoot hike.
Note: there are many health benefits and some risks associated with going barefoot. Please use common sense. Carry sandals or (and) thick socks and use in case you are unable to handle sand under your feet.
After the hike, some of us will stop in Florence's old town for stroll and lunch. Please join us.

Trip Report

In pleasant sunny mid-60s and low tide our fast group hiked north to the Sutton Creek. There we had short break enhanced with Vicky’s famous moka mini muffins. After the hokey-pokey dance we hiked back to Florence’s south jetty where we started. Florence’s old town and excellent crab chowder was our last destination before heading home.
