Acker Rock – Peregrine Traverse

Description:

This is a multi-pitch sport with some trad climb. The climb is located in the Umpqua National Forest and is on fairly solid rock. Those signing up for the trip will need advanced rock climbing skills including climbing vertical rock (rated 5.6), belaying a lead climber and rappelling. Those travelling from Eugene should meet and leave by 4 PM-5 PM on Sat to meet those who climbed Hubris the day before at the Boulder Creek campground. We’ll be getting by 4:30 AM Sunday to climb. We should be back to Eugene late Sunday night.

  • Supplies and Equipment Required: You will need a harness, helmet, personal anchor system, rock shoes, belay-rappel device, 3 locking carabiners and a small day pack. We will be carrying our gear up and over the climb so make sure you have a light weight pack. You will also need 2 liters of water for the climb, lunch and snacks. You will also need camping gear and breakfast for the day of the climb.
