We will meet near the bathrooms in the large parking lot. Take Day Island Road from Club Road–it passes under Ferry Street Bridge–to arrive at the parking lot. We will make a loop within the park for a casual walk. We will have lots of options to do what the group wants.

Trip Report

A pleasant loop at Alton Baker where a number of herons were spotted in or along the edge of the canal. The exception was one who was sitting high and alone in a tree. Along the river the big bird activity was a lot of noise and flurries. Might have had something to do with the raptor that had landed in the top of a tree.
