Description:

Join us for the 2026 Annual Meeting! At 6:30 we will start with a social half hour enjoying Prince Pucklers ice cream and toppings. The meeting will begin at 7:00. We will present Leader and Trip awards and vote for new Board members for 2027. There is no need to sign up or bring anything, just show up at the lodge. See you there!

Trip Report

On a cool fall evening 47 folks gathered for our Annual meeting in the warmth of the lodge. During the social time we chatted, enjoyed sundaes with ice cream donated by Prince Pucklers, and created card stock squares with our thoughts about what makes the Obsidians special. Marian Sparks assembled our squares into a quilt. The business meeting included a review of the club's activities over the last year and a report from the finance committee. We elected board members for 2027--returning members Lisa Van Liefde and Sue Zeni, and new member Gordon Sayre. Jim Northrop nominated Bea Fontana for "Honored Member" status for her contributions to the club with the membership in unanimous agreement. The meeting concluded with Fred Crafts reading the "In Memoriams" for the 11 Obsidians who passed during the year.
