Join me on Annual Obsidian barefoot hike. This year we will start at Florence’s North Jetty and hike north to the Sutton Creek estuary.
After the snack break…same way back.

We are designed to walk barefoot but evolved to shoe wearing creatures. Barefoot walking is candid way to feel the earth under your feet. There are many health benefits and some risks associated with going barefoot. Please use common sense. Carry sandals or (and) thick socks and use in case you are unable to handle sand under your feet.

Trip Report

In pleasant, sunny 60°F our fast group hiked wide low tide beach from North Jetty to the Sutton Creek estuary. After the long break, and hokey-pokey dance we returned to North Jetty packed with tourists. Before heading back to 95°F Eugene, whole group had take-out lunch at Florence’s waterfront.
