Description:

This is a hike to Bachelor Mt. from the Bugaboo Ridge trail that hopefully will have a great display of wildflowers. I'll keep an eye on the weather and cancel the trip if it looks too hot for this rather exposed hike. After the hike some of us will be stopping at Takoda's restaurant.

Trip Report

It was a warm day but still a good day for a hike, as there was a cool breeze. There is still a logging operation on the road to the trailhead, but unlike my trip in 2024, we were allowed to get past to the trailhead. The hike to the summit passes through many flower-covered meadows. Our group of twelve all reached the summit, where we had our lunch and enjoyed great views to the north, but smoke obscured views to the south.
