Trip Report

The weather called for 30% chance of rain then partly cloudy and that\'s what we got. We chose to park at the Horse Camp, then walked down the trail with the sign for \"horse Water\" to the start of the loop on the AllTrails app. we chose to hike the loop counterclockwise to traverse the somewhat boring switchbacks downhill. The trail was in good condition, one section a bit overgrown. I spite of the overnight rain we had no problem negotiating the two stream crossings. The sun was just emerging as we took our lunch break at the bench in the second field, where we were able to catch a glimpse of the breaking waves. We completed the remainder of the hike through beautiful dug fir forest. Our total hiking time was 4.5 hours.
