Gr8 tune up 4 the summer...

Blacklock Point, located on the coast just north of Port Orford, offers breathtaking beauty. Base camp is close to the beach with dramatic cliffs, water falls, woods and pristine beaches. A small camp fire will be part of the trip

Backpack in 2.5 miles Tuesday. Day hike eight miles Wednesday. Pack out Thursday.

Meet at leaders house the morning of the trip. Address will be mailed to participants.

Trip Report

Old town Bandon was busy, nice to see them coming out of the pandemic..Taking advantage of a minus tide we hiked/boulder dashed around a rock wall north of Blacklock point....The hi-lite was seeing a mom otter & her 3 pups....Gr8 sunsets, one evening we saw the "green flash"....Our hike south, to Floras Lake, allowed us to see the kite/wind surfers....The trails are nicely maintained...I admired this group, they all overcame serious health concerns to keep going with their love of the outdoors.....
