Description:

This will be an easier variation of our typical Blanton - Spencer hike with less climbing. Starting at the Blanton trailhead, we will hike the Ridgeline Trail, crossing Willamette, and instead of going up the Tie Trail to Spencer, we will continue on the Ridgeline Trail, crossing Fox Hollow, and continuing on towards Dillard Road on the upper trail. Near Dillard, we will divert down to the lower trail back to Fox Hollow, continuing across Willamette, and back to the Blanton trailhead. After the hike, we might want to stop at Friendly Street Deli for coffee and/or lunch.

Trip Report

Due to Dave's illness, I was pressed into service to lead the hike. There were only two of us to hike Blanton-Dillard and back. It's equivalent in distance and height gained to Blanton-Spencer, only a the uphill is spread out. Not too many people on the trail two days before Christmas. It was a little wet but not muddy.
