We will be planting along Blanton Ridge in areas that have had blackberries removed.

Meet at the main Blanton Ridge Trailhead parking lot, the gravel lot on Blanton Road.

Trip Report

We met Evan at the Blanton Trailhead for a post-Thanksgiving planting event. Our small group of volunteers hiked the short distance to the planting area, an area in which the City has done fuels reduction by removing Himalayan blackberry, and listened to the most detailed planting description we have ever received. We first began to set out the plants at the pin flags that Evan had set out earlier. We set out sword ferns, thimbleberry, snowberry, elderberry, and ocean spray. In total we planted 82 plants in 2 locations along the trail. Our group also got to enjoy seeing a 4-point buck casually walk by while we were working.
