Trip Report

July 12th was a beautiful day to explore Box Canyon. The sun was shining, the air clear trees, shrubs and flowers were in bloom, and Ray was with us. He makes any trip better.

The longest stop was at Skookum Creek Campground where most of the group hiked to Erma Belle Lake. Many ate their sack lunches there and provided food for the mosquitoes.

The Obsidians and friends making the trip were: Annette Aylworth, Lois and Perry Baker, Lorene Bressler, Ray Cavagnaro, Virginia DeMers, Grace Durchanek, Gerry Fehly, Irene Flynn, Harriet Friday, Bette Hack, Jane Hilt, Everta Hutchins, Daisie Niccholls, Ruth Nichols, Elsie Norberg, Bonnie Rickard, Enid Rondau, Grace Smith, Myrtle Smith, Mary-Douglass Stoval, Helen Weiser, Betty Stamm, and Ruth Williams. Leaders were Irene Flynn and Ruth Nichols.
