Description:

Broken Top is a flat, enjoyable approach, with gorgeous views. That's followed by a fun, 3rd class ridge scramble, a short protected rock climb (5.4 level climbing for about 30 feet), followed by a short, very exposed cat-walk journey and scramble to the summit. We'll start from the Todd Lake trailhead and go up and back in one day. We can decide if we want to leave Friday evening and camp at the trailhead, or leave around 3am Saturday morning.
You'll want to be in shape for a 15-ish mile hike and prepared for an 11 hr adventure. You'll want to be very comfortable with exposure at the top.
