Trip Report

Four Obsidians joined forces with a veritable army of Forest Service people and other concerned volunteers to strip, clean, re-roof and paint Carpenter Mountain Fire Lookout in Blue River Ranger District in late July. Beautiful weather all day. A new lease of life was given to the aging structure, which will now be used as an emergency summer fire lookout point. Painting and sprucing up this very picturesque and historic forest house were Brian Berber, Tom Cawi, Tim Cook and leader, John Cecil.
