Description:

For this month's outing we have a special plant salvage and planting project. We will salvage more checker mallow from along the Ribbon Trail. We will also plant checker mallow we salvaged last year around the Obsidian lodge.

Meet at the Obsidian Lodge. There will be lunch provided at the Obsidian Lodge after the the outing.

Trip Report

This was a special outing. We returned to the Ribbon Trail to salvage more Meadow Checker Mallow. This is something we did for the first time a year prior. The main difference this time was that the carried them in totes to our lodge grounds and re-planted them there.

The City's hope is that these plants will thrive on the lodge grounds due to its proximity and similar soil type.
This spring if you notice clusters of new white flowers in the grounds near the West side of the large these are the Meadow Checker Mallow.
