Trip Report

We had a beautiful (sunny) but HOT day for this hike. The hike was done in a counterclockwise loop, passing by Cone peak before proceeding onto the spur trail to Iron Mountain with its viewing platform. Thankfully a good portion of this trail is in the shade and the shade is where we chose for our water and lunch stops. The group moved along swiftly in order to complete the circuit before the temperature was expected to reach over 90 degrees F. The wildflowers Were Amazing, with several fields completely covered in vibrant colors.

The June Bulletin is online now.
