Trip Report

It was a lovely sunny day as 13 Obsidians ventured to Cooper Creek Reservoir near Sutherlin. Although it was chilly, spirits were high as we headed over the dam and around the reservoir from the West Boat Launch in a counter-clockwise direction. The trail was a bit frosty in spots and muddy in others, our proprioceptors got a workout keeping us upright! At the four mile mark we basked in the sun and had lunch at the East Boat Launch; several folks were out in boats enjoying the day. Thanks to work done by a local mountain bike group the trail is a complete loop without needing to walk on the road.
