Trip Report

Today, in so far the warmest day on the year, we hiked Cooper Creek Reservoir trail. Located just few miles out from Sutherlin, we hiked 8 miles with a total of 1000' elevation gain. This was an out and back hike but it looks like they are working on having this trail go all around the lake. Mild sunny skies made this even nicer. We saw lots of different types of ducks and other birds on the lake. What a great exploratory hike it ended up being! Keep eye on the schedule, it might become an annual event!
