Description:

This walk will include a visit to the new Federal Court house to view the art exhibited on the lower floors. The exhibits are usually of local Oregon artist. For those who have not visited the court house I think you will find it interesting. The visit will be probably no more then 30 to 45 minutes. We will then walk to the river path and continue on to either the Autzen or Knickerbocker bridge, taking in the talking stones we pass along the way. We will loop back to the Campbell Center and the cars. For those that are interested there is the possibility of lunch in the 5th Street area.

Trip Report

The two of use enjoyed the sunny morning hiking over Skinner Butte and on to the federal court house. Our 40 minute walk through the 2 floors of pubic art we could enjoy left use with same conclusion. We liked the art work from the 2 local artist hanging on the white walls and the white cubic walls needed the color and interest the art provided. We then continued on to the river path at EWEB and enjoyed the walk to Autzen Bridge and back to back to the DeFazio Bridge and back to our cars.
