  • End date: 07/01/2024

Description:

We will meet and put in at Perkins Peninsula, a Lane County Park on West 11th at 9:30 AM. Please be on time so we can avoid wind. We'll paddle along W 11th and then duck under the bridge into Coyote Creek. The creek is a magical place; looks like a southern bayou! We'll paddle as far as we can go and then turn around and return. If we have time, we may explore a bit of the reservoir. Note: don't drink too much before because it's nearly impossible to get out to pee!

Trip Report

Lovely paddle with a fun group. After limboing under the bridge, the creek turned quiet and peaceful. We spotted a very handsome grebe pair where the chicks were trying to convince momma that they needed a ride on her back.
