Description:
We will drive to the Safeway in Sweet Home, stop for bathroom break, and continue further northeast. From the trail-head, we will hike down to a beautiful valley with a sparkling lake ringed by large firs and cedars. Waterdog Meadow overlook is our lunch destination. After the lunch we'll bush-walk 0.8 miles through Skunk Cabbage, and swampy Devil’s Club jungle to the area with dozens of huge trees, including one of the world largest known Douglas fir, “King Tut”.
➽ Drivers be aware. From Sweet Home to Crabtree trailhead is a long drive on winding road. Last few miles of road are bad!
