I AM GOING TO CANCEL THE HIKE. I have some misgivings about doing this, because I have been burned several times by low pressure systems turning out over and over again to be slower, weaker, drier and further (north/south) than advertised. But I'm concerned about winds, which with 50 degree temps and some rain, are hypothermia issues. Also, the drive up the coast will be difficult.

PLEASE EMAIL ME (NOT EVERYBODY ON THE LIST) OR CALL ME TO LET ME KNOW THAT YOU HAVE RECEIVED THIS. IF NOT, I WILL BE OUT AT TARGET TOMORROW TO TURN PEOPLE BACK. SORRY TO WAIT THIS LONG, BUT I HAVE LOOKED AT SEVERAL FORECAST MODELS, SEEN THE WET AND WINDY ONES, SEEN ALSO THE SLOWER TO COME IN ONES. AS A GOOD RULE OF THUMB, WHEN I ARGUE WITH MYSELF ABOUT DOING OR NOT DOING SOMETHING, IT USUALLY MEANS THE MOST CONSERVATIVE APPROACH SHOULD WIN OUT. MAYBE NEXT YEAR.
