Trip Report

As a team of 6 climbers we left the Pioneer Gulch / Rockpile Road at 8am.
The first 1-½ mile was snow free travel through the burn of 2024 along the trail which was flagged sparingly. We had GPS tracks from previous climbs, one just one week before this climb. One party member did not feel well and returned to the trailhead. Following the gully next to the SE Ridge and making our way up the SE Ridge we switched to crampons around 7000’. After slowing down a bit the team reached the summit at 1:45pm. After a well deserved summit brake and pictures we descended into the South facing bowl to glissade down. Glisading was excellent and safe with the snow softened up for great conditions. Climbers ahead of us had made a nice trail for us which avoided some of the spring postholing
