Trip Report

We had a very nice camp Saturday night at Indigo Springs. Started cut at 6:30 Sunday morning and reached the summit at 12:00. Sunny and warm with a slight breeze so we ate, conversed, slept and just soaked up the view for an hour. We descended via the ridge toward Corrigan Lake because of rockfall on the Pioneer Gulch route. (Close call on the way up) After one "tricky" part we glissaded down some nice runs and then proceeded down the ridge and cut across to Pioneer Gulch and out. Fran Gnose won the freestyle glissading contest with little effort. We arrived at the cars at 6:30 tired but pleased. Thanks to Gene Thaxton who took care of logistics in town and assisted on the climb. A very nice climb with good weather, a great group and very few mosquitoes. Climbers were: Doris Allen, Margaret Crosland, Fran Gnose, Jenny Gnose, Lee Hatch, Betty Legris, Susan Meyer, Henrietta Richmond, Gene Thaxton (Assistant Leader), Pat Zustlak and Randy Zustiak (Leader).
