Description:

We will work with the City to install and armor a culvert in Dillard-Skyline Park. Additionally, we will cutback brush from the trailsides and in our work area as well as clean the trailhead kiosk.

Meet at the Spring Boulevard parking lot, the lot is small and we can park along the street.

Trip Report

We met Dev at the Spring Boulevard Trailhead to install a culvert on the Ridgeline in Dillard-Skyline Park. We hiked up the trail to start our work for the evening. Pat, Janet, and Brianna dug the uphill drainage ditch to channel water to the culvert. Dan and I dug a deep trench for the culvert. After placing the culvert Brianna operated the power-wheelbarrow bringing gravel up for us to spread over the work area. Before ending for the day, we compacted the gravel to make the trail surface more stable and durable.

As always, Clara did an excellent job cleaning the trailhead kiosk.
