Eugene Mural Walk

Description:

Departure Place: The walk starts at the Overpark Parking Garage (10th & Oak), on the upper most floor, northeast corner. Parking is free on the weekends.

On this walk we will visit the 20x21 mural designs located in the downtown area. We will see about 25 pieces in all from the building-sized murals to the smaller and often hidden micro-art images. There will be a brief description about the artist and their artwork provided at each mural.

Our walk will meander through Eugene's downtown and back alleys. We'll make our way to several murals near REI then return to the downtown area and finish up near 13th and Willamette at one of the more humorous designs. We should be wrapped-up by 12pm. After the walk enjoy a beverage at Falling Sky. The parking garage (where we started) is 3 blocks away and the bus station is 2 blocks.

Trip Report

We visited over 20 murals in the downtown area. The designs ranged from building-sized murals to the smaller and often hidden micro-art images. Afterwards, we enjoyed lunch and good company at Falling Sky.
