Trip Report

Our small, yet high quality party made the second effort of the season on the Eugene to the Cascade Crest Trail. We made good progress, constructing about ½ mile of tread over rather difficult terrain. Our group was accompanied by Dan Sellard and Roseann Olson from the Register-Guard. Dan and his photographer came along to do a story on the trail construction. We were very impressed by industrious Roseann who continuously clambered up over and around, frequently admonishing her subjects: "hold it right there!" Mary Fulton, Fran Gnose, Jane Hackett, Jim Kelley and leader Jerold Williams made up the faithful and hardworking crew.
