Best trail to get ready for mountain climbing season. We'll summit Hardesty by going what feels like, straight up the SE side. This is a conditioning hike and will be difficult--it's supposed to be.

Trip Report

Dalen, Ted, Daphne, Jeanine, Danni, and I met at South Eugene at 8am. We were hiking by about 8:45. Ted turned around about 3/4 of a mile in. He said he felt like he was going too slow. Luckily he drove, so he was able to go home. It rained a little on the way up. There was no snow anywhere on the trail or the mountain. The group was well matched, it felt like we were moving at a quick pace. The day stayed cloudy for the entire hike, about 50 degrees. We sat at the top and had a quick lunch, less than 10 minutes because it was chilly. The entire hike took about 4 hrs 40 mins. We all crammed into my truck for the drive back to South Eugene.
