Description:

Meet at 5:50pm for a 6:00 departure.
Dorris Ranch parking lot, near the restrooms.
We'll hike through the historic hazlenut orchard to the banks of the Middle Fork of the Willamette, for about 2 miles, perhaps a bit more before turning around, for a total of 4.5-5 miles.
Pace will be somewhat moderate, distance is more than 4 miles, so consider this moderate.

Trip Report

The warm, humid evening felt more refreshing walking along the river this evening! We found and read a poem left in the hollow of a log. And under darkening skies, we were greeted with a colorful sunset, then, thunder and rain - just as we made it back to our cars.
