Trip Report

There were thirty five bus riders on the trip this year. On a foggy morning we started with Ray up the old McKenzie highway to the Dee Wright Memorial. By then the sun was out as we saw the mountains covered with the first snows of the season. Our morning coffee stop was at the Gallery in Sisters where the sticky buns were hot and ready.

From Tumalo Park we traveled through the park to the west side of Bend on the Century Drive. In sparkling fall weather stops were made at Elk, Lava, Cultus, Davis Lakes, and Quinn River. Cones were gathered for wreaths and mushrooms for the Mycological Society exhibit at Valley River.

Return was through Oakridge on the Willamette pass where we all enjoyed the red and yellow colors of fall. This was the last bus trip of the year, many are looking forward to bus trips next year.
