Trip Report

Down to only three participants, our little group made the dusty hike into Fawn Lake. We had the lake all to ourselves for the first full day. The water level was very low, which created a mudflat between the normal lakeshore and the waterline making water gathering a challenge. The first evening we took a short hike over to Stag Lake where smokey skies created a spectacular scene over Lakeview Mtn. On our layover day we decided to hike to Diamond View Lake (approximately 10 miles RT). The area around Saddle Lake was very unique and pretty. Diamond View Lake was also very low. Our final morning we awoke to frost on the ground, but the sun quickly warmed the air enough to have breakfast by the lake. Overall, this was a good trip.
