Description:

Depending on conditions and if they have plowed out space for cars at the beginning of the Faye Lake trail we will do that trail. Faye Lake is a road trip with little elevation gain that ends at the lake. We will have lunch there and return to the cars.

If there is no place to park we will park at Maxwell Butte sno park and do the mountain view loop. Under 5 miles with more elevation gain. I will make every attempt to figure this out before the trip. If sky’s are clear we may have views of 3 Finger Jack and Jefferson.

Trip Report

Fay Lake is still missing. 8 of us were greeted by 8-10 inches of new snow and a beautiful day for a snowshoe trip. Following blue diamonds and the a map we made it into Big Meadow camp ground and realized we ran out of diamonds and could not match the map to the roads and trails we were seeing. So back to the main junction where the the sun was out and we could enjoy lunch. We continued up the road toward Maxwell Butte snow cabin just to enjoy the day foe another mile or so before returning to the cars and heading home.
