Trip Report

On May 20, Eugene Mountain Rescue is sponsoring a class in First Aid at the Obsidian Lodge, starting at 6:30 p.m. This class covers the basics of first aid, with a slant toward the types of first aid situations likely to be encountered in the backcountry.

On May 26, a class in CPR will be held at the Lodge at 6:30 p.m. This class is also sponsored by Eugene Mountain Rescue, and will cover both adult and infant CPR.

People who participate in both classes will be eligible to obtain a Medic First Aid card. Those participating in just the CPR portion are eligible for a CPR card. The participants will be charged the cost of the materials used in the class; instruction is covered by Eugene Mountain Rescue. Call Susan Sullivan at 342-6546 to sign up for either or both classes.
