Trip Report

A beautiful, sunny, warm day and the "leader" got lost finding the trailhead for French Pete, for heaven's sakes. After a little backtracking, we found it and set out on a combination trail maintenance and hiking trip. Thanks to the hikers and especially to Allan, we cleared the trail of most of the loose branches. A chain saw would have been handy. It was a great day and climbing over, around and under the downed timber just made it more interesting. I always forget how beautiful French Pete is. The trail-clearing hikers were Susan Corkey, Jo Loughary, Bryant Mitchell, Ralph Nafziger, Bob and Pat Shaw, Allan Sorenson, Maureen Willison and leader Dorothy Hayes.
