Moonrise is 8:06 pm.
I wanted to do one of these where we had a pre full Moon (by one day) moonrise. We'll have plenty of time to see the nearly full Moon and notice that it looks full even when it is a day shy of being full. This is now 2 1/2 cycles prior to the eclipse!

Trip Report

Four of us went up Pisgah on a cloudy night, so neither the almost-full Moon rise nor the sunset was visible. There were, however, a lot of wildflowers!!
