Trip Report

We met at 9:00 at the River Play Discovery Village (2006) where we “discovered” the sandpit bronze fossils and the replicas of Spencer Butte and the columns. We then walked along the Ruth Bascomb Riverbank Trail to the Greenway Bridge (1977) through Valley River Parking lot over Delta Highway to Clinton Road and up Crenshaw to Gillespie Butte and Cemetery (1895). Dave Cooper suggested on the return trip, we make a loop using the Delta Ponds Bridge (2010). Back at Skinner Butte, we ascended the new climber’s trail (December 22, 2017). The last stop was Fifth Street Market (1976) for lunch. It was an interesting four hours to connect and appreciate Eugene's parks and trails.
