Description:

This is an early get reacquainted with your ski’s trip. Gold Lake is an easy 2 mile trip into the lake which includes a shelter. The route over a forest service road is wide and rolling. Lunch at the shelter. We will be parking at Gold Lake snow park.

Trip Report

Good sunny day . Awful icy conditions. Everything was frozen in place. I struggled since I did not ski that much last year. This was not the easy trip I had hoped for. It was still a good day we had lunch around the edge of the lake with a good view of the whole thing. The ski was no easier on the way out. I was very happy I was not leading a group of novice skiers through this mess. Ross, had no problems, just got to watch me slip and slide around.
