Description:

Gold Lake snow park is where we are headed. We cross Hwy 58 to Gold Lake Rd our starting point. We going about a half mile down the road before we make a left turn off the road and follow the blue diamonds between upper and lower Marilyn Lakes. The trails passes the lakes wonders through the woods and eventually takes use to Gold Lake shelter. Lunch at the shelter. We return to the cars via the road. Trip Report

Great winter day. We arrived at Gold Lake sno park with sunny blue sky’s and 29 degrees. For the rest of the day the temp stayed low. Taking the trail between Upper and Lower Marilyn Lakes provided a beautiful view of iced over winter lakes with no tracks or trails to interrupt the snow. We had lunch at the bridge on Gold Lake Road. The Clarkes Nut Crackers, made the presents known to everyone in the group. Obnoxious. People were interested in seeing Gold Lake so we broke trail into the campground and down to the lake edge. Beautiful, along with a group of xc-skiers spotted skiing across the far end of the lake. After that it was the long road back to the cars. Everyone had a great time.
