Description:
Meet: Office Depot, 2859 Chad Dr, Eugene at 8:30AM. From there we'll carpool 10 minutes north.
This is a moderate pace walk near the confluence of Willamette and the McKenzie Rivers, northwest of Coburg, OR, but we’ll stop several times to observe the nature.
The Willamette Confluence is located on Kalapuya Ilihi, homeplace of the Kalapuya people who stewarded these lands and rivers before us.
We may see beaver, river otter, deer, coyote or some of 150 species of birds. We will also observe 15 years of tree-planting work and other projects done by hundreds of enthusiastic volunteers.
