Description:

Obsidians volunteer day at Green Island just few miles north from Coburg, OR.

Please meet at 8:45AM at Office Depot parking lot, Chad drive, across from Costco.

We'll work 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM on blackberry removal project on the 2.5-acre plot, adopted by Obsidians. Green Island is located at the confluence of the McKenzie and the Willamette Rivers. McKenzie River Trust with generous support of dozen local organization and hundreds of enthusiastic volunteers researching, restoring, and protecting over 1100 acres of riverbanks, forest, islands, channels, sloughs, and grassland.

Trip Report

According to a reputable source; "Psychologists have long known the importance of being delusional.” and that “people with delusions have higher levels of well-being - that is, happiness - than those without it.”
Rational or not, we (delusively optimistic Obsidians volunteers) made a progress in maintaining Obsidians Corner, a 2.5-acre plot of Green Island's 1,100 acres at the confluence of the McKenzie and Willamette rivers.
