Description:

Come to the last work party of the year. We have worked hard all year so the things needing tended to are fewer this month. As always, beds need work, stray bits of firewood need to be collected and put under a tarp, debris needs to be moved, blackberries and ivy call out to us, (as always), and a couple of strong backs are needed to do some digging (treasure hunt?). Bring your favorite tools and probably raingear. The forecast looks rainy. Bring a snack to share, if you would like. Rumor has it a certain somebody has a birthday
that very day! Bring a coffee or tea mug. Yep, ithese will be provided! Hope to see you there!

Trip Report

Fifteen stalwart volunteers worked in the not-so-cold rain to accomplish many tasks. The miracle of the day was the transformation of the back roof after it was washed. Firewood was gathered and tarped, parking lot and lodge beds were trimmed and pruned and old boards were cut up and split for kindling. The clogged gutters were cleared and the heaters inside were inspected and cleaned. The location of the septic tank was verified, marked and recorded with photos. Clearing on the west fence continued. The highlight of the day -a special birthday celebration for Mike Smith!
