Description:

Due to the efforts of the last work party, the grounds are looking more groomed and green but the spring growth calls for more jobs to be completed. More mowing and weed whacking are needed as well as attention to the beds. We will start mulching areas of shiny geranium infestation. And more….. Join the camaraderie of this hard working Obsidian group.

  • participant prerequisites: For your safety, be comfortable using power mowers and trimmers, pruners, saws, shovels, rakes. Safely handle gasoline, paints, and various chemicals. Have the abilty to safety work from ladders. Be able to lift decorative concrete blocks for planting beds.

Trip Report

A hard-working crew worked in the perfect temperature on this May morning. Four yards of mulch were quickly spread, all the grounds were mowed, the tall grass and weeds were cut along the frontage road. Small trees were cut up, clean-up along the fence continued and the grass was edged along the lower parking area. It was a small but powerful, hard working group. Much gratitude to those who volunteered for the work. Our grounds look good!
